Do you like legumes? Do you like to cook with them? I do not. Precise, I did not. Cooking beans or lentils was a challenge for me because every time it was imperfect that’s why experimenting and finding a new “working” pulse’s recipe for me is one more reason for celebration. I truly believe that future belongs to legumes. It’s the reason why I want to share with you one incredible recipe of Bean Smoothie!
- Soaked or canned white beans – 1/2 cup
- Banana – 1pc
- Yogurt – 1/2 cup
- Orange Juice – 1 cup
- Frozen berries – 1/2 cup
- Lime juice – 2 table spoon
- Lime zest – 1 pc
- Honey – 1 table spoon
- Ice – optionally. If using frozen berries – not necessary.
Method: Blend all together very well. Try, adjust consistency /taste.
Incredible! You can vary the juice and fruits, but remember to leave acid and beans, so the acid’ll help to “kill” the “beanny” flavor.
